Today, Grand Gorge is served by 2 New York State Highways, Rt 23 & Rt 30. In days gone by, Rt 23 was a private toll road called the Susquehannah Turnpike. The Toll Gate for this road was located on Rt 23, East of the intersection with today’s Rt. 30. The building on the right still stands, although the toll gate has been removed. The building on the left is also still standing – it once was the Bonnie Bank Cottage boarding house, today it is a private residence.
