Annual Halloween Night
This years party was held Halloween night from 3 -
6pm. It was attended by approximately 100 children with
their parents. They had some new games to play this
year as well as quite a few new decorations. There was
the yearly cookie decorating table, coloring table ,
and a new craft table for the kids. They were able to
make a Halloween themed bookmark and take it home. The
hay rides were again the hit of the night. Frank Albano
and his family make this event fun for all each year.
This year, Frank's brother Mark was our driver with
Nate Potter helping by following the wagon. The costume
contest was again, a very big hit, with prizes going
to the winners. What made this year special was some
of our new members to the group, new volunteers, and
the kids that helped us set up, run, and helped make
the event fun for all who attended.
A fun time was had by all, including the group putting
the party on. We had a wonderful time watching all the
kids parading around in their costumes. It is also a
good time to catch up with your neighbors and say Hello.
The weather worked out very well for us also.
We would also like to give special thanks to our many
sponsors: these include local businesses, individuals,
and the O'Connor Foundation of Stamford. Without the
continued support of these businesses and local people
this party would not be as successful as it has been. |
